This client wanted to add an outdoor entertaining space to their backyard that included a pool, spa for winter use, a fire pit, and a space to unwind and read a book. The existing space was very wooded and the existing patio never saw sunlight as a result of the trees. As we started designing the space it was discovered that access to a bathroom for pool users was going to be a challenge. The resulting project includes a pool with a jump rock and a Cover Pools automatic pool cover. The pool also has a seating bench located under sheer descent waterfalls that cascade from the Unilock Old Quarry surround around the Caldera Niagara Spa. We also added a natural fire pit built from Unilock Old Quarry modular block with matching seat wall and pillars. To provide the space to relax with a book we built a screened gazebo adjacent the pool area. The final piece to the project was to add a door form the exterior of the house into an existing bathroom.
